"If you develop science only with the idea of doing something useful, then your chances of discovering something useful are less than if you apply your mind to finding something essential."

General Information

Students and faculty in The TCU Molecular Physics Lab are involved in solving basic and applied problems in molecular physics.

The objective of their research is to discover and optically characterize novel molecular species, important to a variety of physical, chemical, and astrophysical problems:

On the experimental side graduate students and a postdoctoral fellow work with Dr. Bill Graham (homepage). Dr. Magnus Rittby's (homepage) group works on the theoretical aspects of many of these problems. The synergistic relationship between experiment and theory is an important characteristic of research in the Molecular Physics Lab.
